This morning US stock futures are mixed, with Dow futures off 20 points, Nasdaq up 46 points, and the S&P futures up 25 points. Asian markets also closed mixed in their session, overnight.

What About The Asian And European Markets?
Major Asian markets were mixed. Japan (Nikkei 225) up 0.74%, Shanghai fell 0.58%, Hong Kong (Hang Seng) gained 0.36%.
Major European markets also ended mixed. German (DAX) lost 0.13%, France CAC 40 up 0.24%, London FTSE 100 added 0.18%.
Market And Sector Dynamics
Markets opened the trading session modestly lower. The Dow fell 28 points, Nasdaq down 0.06 point (flat), and the S&P fell 1.5 point.
The market traded lower for start to finish in today's session. At the low the Dow was down 270 points, in the early afternoon session. The major index did reclaim most of the losses, shortly before the close of trading.
Once again, talk of interest rate, inflation, dominated the markets, largely questioning, the Federal Reserve's stance, that current inflationary trends are merely transitory.
Six of the eleven S&P sectors closed with modest gains today, led by Technology, Communication Services, Real Estate, Consumer Discretionary, Utilities, and Healthcare. Basic Materials, Financials, Industrials, Energy, and Consumer Staples ended with moderate losses.
Factors Influencing Today's Market
Some investors still question whether current inflation trends are inflationary, as the Fed thinks.
Asian and European markets ended mixed.
US 10 Year Bond Yield ended the day at 1.497%, up 2.53%.
WTI crude oil closed today at $71.04/barrel, up 0.10%.
Market Close Volume Traded And Advance Decline Ratio
Markets ended mixed today, with the Dow sliding 85.85 points, Nasdaq up 104.72 points, and the S&P up 7.71 points. Total NYSE volume traded, a modest 4.24 billion shares. Declining shares outpaced Advancing shares by 1.19:1.
