Stock index futures were nicely elevated early in the premarket. Dow futures up 153 points, Nasdaq futures up 247 points, and S&P futures up 18 points. Asian markets ended mixed in their session.

What About The Asian And European Markets?
Major Asian markets ended their day mixed. Japan (Nikkei 225) up 0.56%, Shanghai down 0.16%, Hong Kong (Hang Seng) up 0.25%.
Major European markets ended Monday's session higher. German (DAX) up 0.34%, France CAC 40 up 0.43%, London FTSE 100 up 0.05.%
Market And Sector Dynamics
Markets opened the trading day moderately higher. The Dow gained 106 points, Nasdaq gained 49 points, and the S&P gained 11 points. WTI crude oil started the day off lower at $79.35/barrel, down1.60%, and the US 10 Year Bond hovered at the 1.585% level.
Markets traded higher for most of the morning session, with the Dow reaching a high of 136 points. The market faded the morning gains shortly before noon, and the Dow hung out near the flat line during the early afternoon trading, but fell into negative territory a few minutes before the close.
In Washington, President Biden signed the bipartisan 1 Trillion infrastructure bill at the White House today. Members from both parties were in attendance.
Seven of the eleven S&P sectors ended with gains in today's session, led by Utilities, Energy, Consumer Staples, Real Estate, Communication Services, Industrials, and Financials. Healthcare, Basic Materials, Technology, and Consumer Discretionary ended with losses.
Factors Influencing Today's Market

US 10 Year Bond Yield closed at 1.618%, up 2.84%.
WTI crude oil price closed at $79.69/barrel, up 0.21%.
Market Close Volume Traded And Advance Decline Ratio
Stocks ended the trading day mildly lower. The Dow lost 12.86 points, Nasdaq lost 7.11 points, and the S&P lost 0.05 point. Total NYSE volume traded, a light 3.52 billion shares. Declining shares outpaced Advancing shares by 1.19:1.
