Stock futures were moderately lower early. Dow futures were down 105 points, Nasdaq future down 57 points, and S&P futures down 14 points. Asian markets closed mixed.

What About The Asian And European Markets?
Major Asian markets ended mixed. Japan (Nikkei 225) down 0.47%, Shanghai added 0.98%, Hong Kong (Hang Seng) gained 1.08%.
Major European markets ended today's session lower. German (DAX) fell 0.30%, France CAC 40 lost 0.09%, London FTSE 100 lost 0.22%.
Market And Sector Dynamics
Markets opened today's session lower, as investors look forward to Friday's inflation data. The Dow sank 135 points, Nasdaq down 20 points, and S&P fell 10 points. WTI crude oil opened $71.82/barrel, down 0.75%, and the US 10 Year Bond opened 1.492%, down 1.7 basis points.
Markets spent the morning trading hours recovering from the negative open but returned to positive territory, and held on to that level for most of the afternoon, before selling off a few minutes before the closing bell.
Trading today was mostly biased to the downside, with nine of the eleven S&P sectors ending with losses, led by Consumer Discretionary, Real Estate, Technology, Energy, Communication Services, Basic Materials, Industrials, and Financials. Healthcare and Consumer Staples were modestly higher.

US 10 Year Bond Yield closed today at 1.497%, down 2.02%.
WTI crude oil prices ended today at $70.54/barrel, down 2.54%.
Initial Jobless revealed 184,000 new claims for unemployment benefits vs 223, 000 estimated.
Market Close Volume Traded And Advance Decline Ratio
When trading ended on Thursday, the major indexes were lower. The Dow was down a fraction of a point, Nasdaq plunged 269.62 points, S&P fell 33.66 points. Total NYSE volume trade, a light 3.82 billion shares. Declining shares outpaced Advancing shares by 2.92:1.
