Stock futures were positive early in the premarket session. Dow futures up 118 points, Nasdaq futures up 95 points, and S&P futures up 20 points. Asian markets closed lower overnight.

What About The Asian And European Markets?
Major Asian markets finished their day lower. Japan (Nikkei 225) gained 1.77%, Shanghai down 0.34%, Hong Kong (Hang Seng) down 0.42%.
Major European markets ended with gains. German (DAX) up 1.01%, France CAC 40 up 0.80%, London FTSE 100 up 0.76%.
Market And Sector Dynamics
Markets opened comfortable higher with the Dow up 109 points, Nasdaq up 82 points, and the S&P up 19 points. WTI crude oil was up slightly at $83.78/barrel, and the 10 Year Bond Yield slipped 0.3 basis points to 1.632%.
Stocks gained momentum in the morning session, with the Dow reaching a high of 140 points shortly after 11:00 AM. Ninety minutes later the Dow lost all of the morning gains, retreating to the flat line, around 1:00 PM. The index did regain and held on to some gains during the rest of the session.
Trading today was mostly positive, with nine if the eleven S&P sectors closing higher, led by Energy, Utilities, Healthcare, Real Estate, Basic Materials, Technology, Consumer Staples, Consumer Discretionary, and Financials. Industrials, and Communication Services were the laggards.
Factors Influencing Today's Market
Asian markets ended their session lower. European markets finished higher.
US 10 Year Bond Yield ended the day at 1.6100%, down 1.40%.
WTI crude oil ended the day at $84.65/barrel, up 1.06%.
Market Close Volume Traded And Advance Decline Ratio
At the end of trading all the major indexes with slight gains. The Dow gained 15.73 points, Nasdaq gained 9.01 points, and the S&P gained 8.31 points. Total NYSE volume traded, a light 3.91 billion shares. Declining shares outpace Advancing shares by 1.23:1.
